Sarah Macintosh is a freelance technology journalist focused on AI adoption across UK membership organisations. Eight years on the beat have made her allergic to two things: vendor demos that never touch live data, and AI strategies that are really a chatbot with a lanyard.

For Associations she runs the AI desk: the adoption surveys and what they actually measure, the tools arriving in the sector and what they demonstrably do, and the governance arguments that will decide which of them boards allow near member data. She writes the AI agents briefing and keeps the AI statistics page current.
